Light Touch Health Care

Did you know light, gentle touch is a form of communication for everyone of any age? This training will prepare you to provide safe, gentle touch to anyone, especially those living with dementia, while helping decrease anxiety, pain, and loneliness. Learn how to perform Light Touch Health Care and make a difference in not just your own life, but in the lives of those living with dementia. This training is great for all medical professionals, medical and health science students, skilled nursing facilities, support groups, church groups, and volunteers. All are welcome! No special skills or training are required.

Hospice Touch & Massage

The 6-hour Hospice Touch & Massage class provides training in areas such as contraindications, bed-bound patient massage and comorbidities, working with contractures, peristalsis, and the most common hospice diagnoses. Practitioners will learn massage to promote relaxation, relieve anxiety, and help with pain relief. Training manual provided in class. This class is open to non-licensed attendees.

ALS Massage

The 6-hour ALS Massage class provides training on the disease itself, touch deprivation, breathing techniques, and full body massage techniques on bedbound clients with advanced ALS. This is a therapeutic touch that is not only relaxing, but offers the skills to provide pain relief, decrease muscle spasticity, specific skills to work with contractures, and teaching caregivers how to perform comforting touch. Training manual provided in class.

Making Your Own Signature Products

This fun 3-hour class teaches the student the basic information needed to make skin care products designed specifically for you and/or your clients. Products made in class are: facial cleanser, face moisturizer, face oil, lip oil, and body butter. The cost of the class includes equipment used, cost of products, and bottling. This class is open to non-licensed attendees 18 years of age and up.

Enrichment Facial Therapy
